Members of the Lodge travelled to St George’s Memorial Church March 2015

Members of the Lodge have just returned from a trip to St George’s Memorial Church, Ypres (Leper), Belgium to lay a wreath at the Menin Gate and to attend a dedication service for the newly installed ‘In Memoriam’ centenary brass plaque commissioned by the Lodge to commemorate the men of the 6th Battalion who made the ultimate sacrifice during WW1.

The Lodge raised sufficient funds to have enabled the restoration of the Regimental banner that is on permanent display at St George’s Memorial Church Ypres. Also, for an ‘In Memoriam’ centenary brass plaque to be placed under the banner. Both are now in situ and can be viewed on any future visit to the church.
